The English Youth Ballet set up in 1998 has proved to be extraordinarily successful, achieving sell-out performances at every venue in which the Company has performed.

We give audiences the chance to see a substantial cast in a traditional and beautifully costumed production of a classical ballet at a very reasonable ticket price, and in your regional theatre, where the costs of touring the large-scale ballet companies are prohibitive.

• EYB has up to 115 dancers in the cast

• According to an audience survey we attract a general ballet loving audience and not just friends and relations of the cast
• EYB auditions the cast 6 months prior to their scheduled
  performances, therefore ticket sales start early.
• EYB's marketing and publicity is excellent and works in
  conjunction with each theatre's own publicity policy
• Through the experience and expertise of EYB's professional team the productions look thoroughly professional
• All costumes and sets are made by artists who work on West End shows, films, and The Royal Opera House and Royal National Theatre
• EYB organizes rehearsals for the local cast near the theatre in
  which they are performing. 

Currently we have The Nutcracker, Coppelia, The Sleeping Beauty, Giselle and Swan Lake. The value of our work is manifold. We are building theatre audiences for the future. By making ballet accessible we are cultivating an appreciation of dance. We are now part of the regional theatre scene reaching a wide catchment area and gaining an outstanding audience response.

BALLET VIRTUOSO

BALLET VIRTUOSO is a company of eight professional dancers who have danced with The Royal Ballet, English National Ballet and the Ballet-du-Capitole Toulouse, Vienna Festival Ballet and who currently dance the principal roles in the full length classical ballet productions of English Youth Ballet.
